The producers are seeking distribution for the film around the world. Screening events are being organized in Washington, D.C., Seattle, New York City, Boston, Johannesburg and Capetown, South Africa, London, and elsewhere. On April 11th a screening hosted by the World Justice Project and the Univ. of Washington Law School will take place in Seattle, followed by a discussion and a concert by Thomas Mapfumo, whose music can be heard throughout the film. On April 25th, a screening hosted by the U.S. Institute of Peace, the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, and the World Justice Project will take place in Washington, D.C. On June 18th, the International Bar Association will host a screening of the film in London and on July 9th, the World Justice Project will host a screening of the film at their forum taking place in the Hague.
A half hour version of Beatrice Mtetwa and the Rule of Law film is available for distribution. This abbreviated version of the documentary has been made possible by a grant from the International Bar Association and is ideal for use at conferences and workshops, as well as in classrooms and community settings.
